There’s something about the lazy feel of summer days at the lake that makes it the perfect scene to fall in love. In Sophie and Andrew’s case, they chose this time to celebrate their love with a fun, carefree afternoon having the most romantic Lake Garda summer wedding.
It’s so easy to imagine: the refreshing waves, the calm motion of floating away from the beach, and you can easily make you pampering by a summer afternoon on the lake.
A MEDIEVAL VILLAGE ON LAKE GARDA
Choosing the location for their celebration had been an easy task for the couple. They had already been there on vacation and this lush and colorful setting has become a place where they can get out of the daily life enjoying the pleasant life of the Italian lakes, and has become very special to them both.
Sophie and Andrew decided to exchange their vows in front of their families and friends in one of the most charming church on Lake Garda. Santa Maria della Neve is a Romanic church just in the heart of the Medieval village of Sirmione. The ancient crenellated walls, the wooden bridge through which you enter the village and the narrow cobbled streets immediately surround you with a fairy-tale atmosphere.
Just going up one of these narrow streets you get to this small church with a lovely porch and a courtyard that stretches towards the blue of the lake, the perfect choice for a romantic Lake Garda Summer wedding. Sirmione is a narrow peninsula and the beauty of the lake is all around you.
The location itself led the inspiration for the event. Lake Garda is so rich in natural beauty that Sophie and Andrew asked that all of the design choices had just enhance the beauty that was already there. The aisle of the church was just decorated with a white lane and lanterns with an ivy garland and timeless blush English roses. The only gorgeous detail Sophie asked for was the bouquet of white and pink beautiful peonies, so as white peonies for all the elegant bridesmaids in long black dress.
LET’S HAVE FUN LIKE ONLY IN A LAKE GARDA SUMMER WEDDING
After the ceremony and a fun aperitif on a terrace on the lake, a boat trip seemed the most natural choice to offer guests an optimal view of the verdant landscape and the beauty of Lake Garda. And for the reception we arranged an informal and relaxing alfresco dinner in a private villa on the lake, just out of Sirmione village.
The tiny courtyard was arranged for the dinner. Additional twinkling lights, vanilla and blush flowers, and greenery decorated the space, which had been designed with an underlying theme of classic elegance, with a touch of brightness and refined simplicity.
The day was filled with beautiful details, sentimental elements, and hosted at a location with a homely atmosphere, all of which are important for such a memorable life event. And for the couple, the greatest memory of all was the realization of their dream of a romantic Lake Garda Summer wedding.
